TCCM Winter School for advanced sciences of Luchon - TREX Tutorials in Theoretical Chemistry
The 2023 Edition of the Tutorials in Theoretical Chemistry organised by the Université Paul Sabatier was held in Aspet, France, from the 23rd of January to the 3rd of February 2023.
TREX took part in this year's "TCCM Winter School for advanced sciences of Luchon: Tutorials in Theoretical Chemistry" with one session. Claudia Filippi (TREX Coordinator, University of Twente) and Anthony Scemama (Researcher, CNRS) have presented the Quantum Monte Carlo (QMC) in the context of European Commission-funded TREX CoE.
The event gathered 47 master students from the TCCM international master.

About the Event
The Tutorials in Theoretical Chemistry are focused on computer implementations and numerical methods. They include Advanced programming techniques, Geometry, and Topology: Building Nanoparticles, Low-dimensional Carbon structures: the usefulness of simple approaches, Quantum Magnetism: the Heisenberg model, Quantum Dynamics: Propagating wave packets, Vibrations in Molecules: Harmonic/Morse Oscillators. These tutorials are focused on computer implementations and numerical methods. The number of students is limited to 35.
The program and details are available on the event website.
Claudia Filippi is full professor and head of the Computational Chemical Physics group within the Faculty of Science and Technology at the UT.
